The federal government has now decided to provide laptops to all school going students. Promising matriculation students will now get free laptops. In this regard, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed the concerned authorities to make arrangements as soon as possible. Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has started this initiative to give laptops to talented students.
The purpose of offering laptops to students is to become more competitive and to help them overcome challenges in the national and global markets. A few days ago, Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal called on the Vice Chancellors of government universities. Ahsan Iqbal asked the VC to provide input on measures that would help the students to improve their knowledge. This time they only announced the laptop scheme.
