Bank Introduction:
SBP is the central bank of Pakistan. Its constitution, as enacted in the State Bank of Pakistan Order 1948, was not fundamentally changed until January 1, 1974, when the bank was nationalized and its scope of work expanded considerably.
Established in 1956, with subsequent amendments State Bank of Pakistan Works according to the parameters of this legislation. Headquartered in Karachi which is the economic hub of Pakistan. The bank has a wholly owned subsidiary called SBP Banking Services Corporation, the operational arm of the central bank which has branches in 16 Pakistani cities including the capital Islamabad and four provincial capitals.
