Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had recently announced the establishment of a women’s university in Karachi. To this end, the federal government will work with the provincial government of Sindh to make the Women’s University project in Karachi a success.
According to the details, the construction and recruitment expenses of the faculty members will be borne by the federal government. However, the provincial government will be responsible for land and other related matters.
At the same time, the Sindh government has suggested the names of some colleges which can be converted into women’s universities. The following are the names of these proposed colleges.
- Khatun Pakistan Girls College
- Apua Girls College
- Government Girls College North Nazimabad
Now the federal and Sindh governments will work together to establish a university in Karachi. In addition, the Prime Minister assured the MQM leaders in a meeting that the federal government would work for the welfare of the residents of Sindh.
