The latest notification informs everyone that the National Assembly of Pakistan has passed a bill to dissolve the PMC. Not only that, but he also ordered the revival of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). In addition, the National Licensing Examinations NLE has been closed. Now with the restoration of PMDC, the previous practices will be restored. With the dissolution of the PMC, it is also pertinent to mention that the National MDCAT will no longer be held.
As per previous practice, it is expected that the respective provincial admissions universities will conduct provincial MDCATs, namely UHS in Punjab, KMU in KP and LUMHS in Sindh. Now with regard to the issue of student fees, it is expected that either the fees will be refunded or the same fees will apply to all provincial MDCATs. We hope that PMDC will dispel all doubts of students in the days to come. According to the latest decision, provincial universities will conduct their MDCAT. Also, each province will follow the previous curriculum and style.
Students only have to prepare their respective provincial curriculum. MDCATs will be conducted on paper according to the previous methods. More updates will be shared with you as soon as they are announced.
