It builds and repairs ships for the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation, Karachi Port Trust, Port Qasim Authority, and a large customer base in the private sector in Pakistan. Stubby Group Private Limited is a specialized shareholder of Jinnah Port Trust Limited, a registered company in Pakistan.
In the mid-1950s, PIDC founded the PIT project at the behest of the Government of Pakistan and began manufacturing PITBTN brand pearl paper. The PIT project was brought under control in 1957 as a public limited company called Cracker Paper, and its board of directors and managing directors joined the governing process.
