The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the dates for registration of Law Graduate Assessment Test (GAT) 2022. The LAW-GAT test is also mandatory for LLB candidates (law graduates) who want to practice law as a lawyer. Thus, after passing the LAW-GAT, candidates can apply to the Bar Council for Advocacy. Thus, eligible candidates have to go to HECETC portal and submit online application. Hiwvree, below we have provided full details regarding HEC LAW-GAT. Law – GAT 2022
To apply for Advocacy in Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) one must pass Law-GAT. However, PBC authorized HEC to conduct LAE-GAT tests. Therefore, HEC LAW-GAT is an MCQ based paper, and applicants must score 50% to pass the test. However, an applicant may try the Law-GAT test three times.
Eligibility Criteria for LAW-GAT 2022
Candidates who have passed Bachelor Degree in LAW or its equivalent from recognized institutes of HEC / PBC are eligible for LAW-GAT.
LAW-GAT 2022 Exam Date and Examination Centers
HEC will conduct LAW-GAT (temporarily) on 03 July 2022 in 14 cities of Pakistan. Thus, candidates will choose one of the following cities of their choice.
- Islamabad
- Lahore
- Faisalabad
- Multan
- Bahawalpur
- Hyderabad
- Karachi
- Abbottabad
- Sigh
- Peshawar
- Muzaffarabad
- Quetta
- Crazy
- Gilgit
Candidates can choose any city of their choice, but each center has a capacity of only 100 applicants. If a center already has 100 applicants, then the candidates should choose one of the other centers mentioned above.
