The Punjab Government issued a notice regarding the Annual School Census 2022-23 of Punjab through the School Information System (SIS). Program Monitoring and Information Unit Punjab published a letter on 25th October 2022 regarding school census in which complete information will be provided. PMIU conducts annual school census every year on October 31, 2022, the notification said.
This year, Punjab School Census 2022-23 will be online through School Information System (SIS) on 21 November 2022. On School Census Day (21 November 2022), institutions will log into their SIS portals and submit updated data. PMIU also directed District Education Officers (CEOs to AEOs) to visit the institute and ensure effective completion of activities.

Submission of data to SIS will be in two phases: mock exercise and final phase.
- Mock exercise: During mock exercises, government agencies will enter and update data from October 27, 2022 to November 15, 2022.
- Last step: In the final phase, submissions made during the mock exercises will be submitted, and schools will submit the final census on November 21, 2022.
PMIU instructions regarding submission of data to SIS
The Program Monitoring and Information Unit (PMIU) directed that school heads collect data on the SIS that are as follows:
- Ensure all SIS input fields (student, faculty, and staff records and school facilities)
- 21 November 2022 Click Submit Form Submit the census form. button in the SIS app.
- The school head will print the submitted form, sign and stamp the census form, and submit it to the concerned AEO/DMO office.
