Today, Punjab Government released new notification regarding local holiday. In the latest statement, the Punjab government said that on 17 September 2022, all schools, colleges and universities will observe a local holiday tomorrow. This holiday will be announced only in Lahore district. The closure of all private and public institutions is due to the 979th annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh. The Additional Chief Secretary of S&GAD Punjab Department has issued the official notification of public holiday in Lahore. For this purpose, the government also sent notices to all the concerned departments.
