The government of Punjab, services, and general administration issued a notification regarding their ban on recruitment in Punjab. The Chief Minister of Punjab first banned hiring teachers in Punjab educational institutes. But now, after conducting a fruitful meeting in this regard, all representatives briefly discuss this issue. After getting suggestions from others, the Chief Minister of Punjab finally approved the request and lifted the ban on recruitment in Punjab. Now the hiring done through Punjab Public Service Commission will continue as before.
The Chief Minister shall consider the relaxation of the ban on recruitment in BPS-01 to BPS-04 case-to-case basis. The recruitment against development posts will be exempted from the ban. Hence, there will be no ban on recruitment against statutory positions provided in the substantive laws.
