Allama Iqbal Open University has opened an online registration portal for Part Time Tutors or Resource Persons. The University wants experienced and motivated Government Teachers to apply for AIOU Tutors. AIOU tutors/resource persons provide online education services to students through the online learning management system, Aaghi LMS. So, government teachers who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for AIOU tutorship. Below we have explained the complete procedure and eligibility criteria. However, the last date for AIOU tutor registration is 10 October 2022.
AIOU Program Level for Tutorship 2022
Allama Iqbal Open University requires part-time tutors/resource persons for the following program levels.
- Matric/S.Sc
- Intermediate/HSSC
- Associate Degrees
- Masters/BS (04 years)
- B Ed (1.5, 2.5, and 4 years) and ADE
- Ph.D and MS/M.Phil
Eligibility Criteria for AIOU Tutors 2022
- Eligibility Required: Minimum Master’s Degree for AIOU Tutorship. However for Ph.D. program, applicants must have a Ph.D. Degree
- Applicants should be Government/Private Teachers of BPS-11 to BPS-16 and above.
- Two years of teaching experience is required for BPS 16 and above teachers.
- For teachers of BPS 11 to BPS-15, 03 years post qualification teaching experience is required. 03 years Post qualification means experience. Applicants who have passed their degree before 10 October 2019 and have been doing teaching jobs since 2019 after obtaining the degree. If their degree date is after 2019, but they have 03 years of teaching experience, then those candidates will not be eligible for tutorship. Therefore, AIOU will count the experience after obtaining the degree.
- Private teachers should have 05 years post qualification experience.
- MPhil/PhD degree holders do not need teaching experience.
How to Apply for AIOU Tutors 2022
- Eligible candidates can apply for AIOU Tutors through online portal (https://tr.aiou.edu.pk/).
- Already registered candidates need not apply again. They can update their profile through the link.
- Tutor application form processing fee is Rs.1000/-.
