The latest notification is to inform everyone that Sindh Government has terminated the morning shift of Intermediate Arts Group. He closed the morning shift in various government and government colleges. The reason for doing away with the morning shift is that an increasing number of students have opted for the science group after matriculation. The Sindh government took this decision in the Sindh Assembly session on Friday. However, they also run a cautionary note presented by Sadaqat Hussain (Muthad Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P).
Provincial Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah has now decided that arts discipline will be taught in the evening shift in various government colleges. This is due to the increase in enrollment in the science group and particularly in the computer science stream. Also, a member said that;
He added that if we have a capacity of 1500 in a college and if more students enroll than the capacity then we take the Arts group student in the evening shifts.
