HEC warned students not to offer clinical degree programs without permission.

Higher Education Commission announced the new decision. Latest Notification, It is to inform everyone that HEC has now issued a strict warning to all public and private sector universities not to offer clinical degree programs without the permission of the Higher Education Commission. Most institutions offer these programs without authorization. When the HEC examined this illegal idea and took action against it. Therefore, HEC advised all universities not to offer undergraduate degree programs involving clinical application without permission.

HEC has noted with great concern that some universities have started diploma and degree programs in areas of clinical applications including dermatology, dermal sciences, aesthetics, cosmetology, radiology, ophthalmology, anaesthesia, cardiology, hemodialysis, and including but not limited to neurophysiology; undergraduate level.

In order to protect students’ academic career and employment prospects, universities are advised not to offer admission or diploma in the mentioned subjects at the undergraduate level. However, the HEC stopped all the ongoing proceedings in this regard. HEC will not confirm degrees offered in contravention of this advisory.
