Today we have brought a great news for the students of Punjab Police Martyrs. Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has decided to provide free education to the students of martyred Punjab police officers. He announced this decision while addressing the main event of Police Martyrs’ Day organized in Lahore earlier today. Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said at the event that the provincial government is making efforts to legislate for free education for the children of martyred police officers.
During the ceremony, Chief Minister Punjab slammed the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for ignoring the families of Punjab police officers who were martyred during their rule in the province. He assured the families of the martyred personnel that the sacrifices of their loved ones will not go in vain and the nation will never forget them with utmost devotion. Police Martyrs Day is celebrated on 4th August every year from now on. In their messages, the President, Prime Minister and IGs paid tribute to the sacrifices of police officers to strengthen the country’s security.
