The Government of Punjab, Services and General Administration Department notified the request for consideration of MA Educational Qualification Promotion. The Punjab government sent a letter on May 8, 2022, in which the issue of MA (Education) meeting the above standards of M.Ed was discussed. However, the MA degree is considered an academic and professional degree. They reflect the relevant service rules through modification as a certain condition is required for promotion.
The appointment has to be made in a prescribed manner through promotion, and this method has to be clearly stated in the relevant service rules.
