Low MDCAT marks for BDS
In a recent notification from the Pakistan Medical Commission, the PMC announced a reduction in the passing percentage for BDS admissions. On June 27, 2022, the Commission held its 12th meeting in which the proposals to reduce the MDCAT passing percentage for dental colleges have now been approved.
Now, students who want to get admission in BDS degree will have to get 55% marks in MDCAT. Earlier, the ratio of MDCAT for MBBS and BDS admissions was the same. But during the 11th meeting of the PMC in May 2022, the dental colleges asked the commission to lower the standard of holding BDS degrees.
However, the PMC has also announced the schedule for MDCAT 2022. According to the announced schedule, the commission will hold MDCAT 2022 in August-September 2022.
