The Pakistan Cricket Control Board oversees and encourages all cricket-related activities in the country. The board was established in 1962 under the Sports Development and Control Act. Its responsibilities and roles include managing and regulating cricket matches and playing (as well as competitive) cricket.
The government provides a slightly different model than the corporate world, and authority passes from government to board. The federal government supports the board, but does not receive funding or grants.
The Pakistan Cricket Board advocates the value of Pakistani youth to the local community and provides an outlet that strengthens their passion for cricket. The board offers a variety of community identification opportunities while providing benefits to selected partners for their initiatives.
