The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has launched a program, Textbook Writing Support Program (TWSP) to expand the writing cadre. Through the TWSP program, HEC aims to increase research and development competitiveness and build a strong team of authors in the country. However, for TWSP, HEC will receive documents from qualified authors from 01 July 2022. Therefore, authors can write on topics other than the HEC approved curriculum. Interested candidates can visit the HEC website for details. The Last Date to submit required documents for TWSP is June 30, 2023.
Eligibility Criteria for HEC TWSP 2022
- Prospective authors who have at least three years of teaching experience in the relevant field want to write books.
- Faculty members of any public and private HEC accredited institution are eligible.
Textbook Writing Support Program 2022 Titles
Authors can write books on any of the following topics according to the HEC approved curriculum.
- Information technology
- Robotics
- Biotechnology
- Basic sciences
- Social sciences
- Management Sciences
- Behavioral sciences
- Arts and Humanities
- Engineering and Health Sciences
Publishers eligible for HEC TWSP 2022
Interested and qualified authors may publish their books directly to one of the following publishers.
- Taylor and Francis
- McGraw Hill
- Pearson
- Oxford University Press
Financial incentives for HEC TWSP 2022
A panel of experts will review the books. Following the reviewers’ recommendation, the HEC will offer the authors the following amount.
- 10,00,000 / – for books written at Masters / Doctoral level
- Rs. 8,00,000 / – for Bachelors Level Textbook

Authors can submit documents for TWSP 2022 from 01 July 2022 to 30 June 2023.
