The Higher Education Commission has recently announced a Joint Scientific Exchange Program (JESP) between Pakistan and China. Thus, in JESP, Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) and National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) participate. Thus, organizations participating in JESP invite HEC Chartered Universities, research centers, and institutions to submit their research proposals. In this way, interested scientists can submit their proposals in eligible areas till the last date. However, the Last Date to submit research proposals for JESP is June 16, 2022.
JESP’s priority areas for research suggestions
Scientists may submit research proposals for the Joint Scientific Exchange Program (JESP) 2022 in the following areas: These priority areas are in line with the national strategies of both the countries.
- Computer Science: Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, Biometrics, Big Data and Virtual Reality (VR) / Augmented Reality (AR), Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence
- Information and communication (including 5G)
- Mechanical design and manufacturing (including robotics, 3D printing, and drones)
- Macro governance and policy
- Climate change and mitigation
- Water, food, and ecosystem security
Instructions for submitting a proposal
- Pakistani and Chinese scientists will use their means of communication to reach an agreement with each other.
- Collaborators / partners must be identified in each joint submission proposal.
- Applicants have completed the prescribed form and it has been submitted by Chinese scientists to NSFC and Pakistani scientists to PSF.
- Suggestions from one side will go ahead.
