As such, the following are the recommendations made at the PBCC meeting to improve the marks in the examinations.

Punjab Boards Revised Improvement Policy

  • After passing the SSC / HSSC exams, students will have four opportunities to improve their grades within three years according to the current curriculum. • Net Higher Qualification means completing HSSC / equivalent for students who improve their SSC marks. This is the completion of an Associate Degree in Arts / Science or the completion of BS / Equation for students improving HSSC Marks.
  • Students who want to improve their overall E&D grades may have four chances to improve within three years until they achieve an overall C grade (50% marks).
  • Students who want to improve their exam scores after a gap of two years after passing SSC / HSSC will have to provide an affidavit. The affidavit proves that the students did not qualify highly.
  • The student’s mark sheet and certificate will include the number of attempts of a student.
  • The principles of other reforms currently in force in all the boards of Punjab will remain the same.
  • Students of SSC / HSSSC annual examinations from 2020 onwards can take advantage of the opportunity to improve their marks if they have not improved their marks yet.
