In his first speech since being elected, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced an increase in the salaries and pensions of government employees. At the same time, the Prime Minister increased the minimum wage for workers. Below are the full details.

Increase in salary and pension

The Prime Minister announced a 10% increase in the salaries of the employees. Thus, candidates earning up to Rs. 100,000 / – per month will benefit from this 10% increase. However, the Prime Minister announced an increase in the salaries of government employees from April 1, 2022.

In addition to salaries, pensioners will also receive a pension with a 10% increment, effective April 1, 2022.

Increase in minimum wage

Along with the increment, the Prime Minister also announced an increase in the minimum wage for workers. Thus, the minimum wage rate is now Rs. 25,000 per month.
