Peshawar High Court has ordered private schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to charge heavy fees. But instead of ordering, schools are charging hefty admission fees in addition to annual and other fees. However, private schools violate the rules of the Peshawar High Court and the Private School Regulatory Authority (PSRA).
Due to these violations, the authority should impose heavy fines, campus cell, and cancel their registration. On the contrary, PSRA did not take any action on the violation for fear that the closure of schools would waste students’ time.
There are many parents who did not know the Peshawar High Court order regarding fees. On the other hand, people who know it are still paying fees because they have no other alternative for their children.
However, after all these cases, the PSRA directed the higher body to comply with the order but no action has been taken so far.
